Opening match was Lahore Qalandars vs Hyderabad Kingsmen on March 26. Evening matches kick off at 7:00 PM PKT. Double headers start at 2:30 PM PKT.
The New Format Explained Simply
Eight teams split into two groups of four. Each team plays:
- Two matches against every team in their own group
- One match against each team in the opposite group
- Minimum 10 league matches per team
Top two from each group advance to playoffs. Three playoff matches decide the champion.
One new rule worth knowing captains can now submit two different first XI lineups to the referee before the match. A tactical move designed specifically to deal with the dew factor in night games. Smart change.

Some PSL anthems get skipped after the first week. This one didn’t.
Khelenge Beat Pe features Atif Aslam, Aima Baig, the Sabri Sisters (Anam and Saman) and rapper Daniya Kanwal. Sufi, pop, and rap mixed into one track that somehow works completely.
Atif Aslam leads the anthem for the first time since 2022. Aima Baig returns for her fourth PSL anthem appearance she’s basically a PSL institution at this point. The Sabri Sisters bring the Sufi section and honestly it’s the part that sticks with you after the first listen.
Released March 24 two days before the opening match. The timing is always deliberate. PSL knows exactly how to build atmosphere.
The Infinity Trophy
The PSL 2026 trophy is named Infinity.
Handcrafted by 18 artisans from Hanif Jewellers. Eight emerald-cut jewels on the base representing each franchise. Two golden curved arms rising to hold a crescent and star surrounded by hundreds of small crystals.
Revealed March 11 at National Bank Stadium Karachi and toured across Pakistan before the season began.
Champions take home US$500,000. Runners-up get US$300,000.
