Ingredients:

  • Two cans of corn

  • 30g butter
  • 150 mL sweet cream

  • 2 tablespoons flour.
  • A half bunch of parsley or chives

Preparation

  • First, open the two cans of corn and drain the contents completely, leaving as little liquid as possible.
  • Now peel and chop the onion into small cubes.
  • Place the cast-iron pan in the indirect section of a hot grill and melt 30g of butter. Before the butter browns, add the diced onions. Sauté until transparent, stirring continuously.
  • Then, add the drained corn and mix immediately. Add 100 mL of sweet cream and stir.
  • Now, let everything boil slowly. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, combine the remaining 50 ml of cream, 2 tablespoons of flour, and a small amount of the pan’s liquid until there are no more flour lumps.
  • After the corn has darkened somewhat in the pan, slowly add the cream and flour mixture into the pot while stirring frequently. This will make the mixture thicker. If you want to add grated cheese to your dish, simply put it in the pan and let it melt.
  • Finally, take the pan off the grill and transfer it to a heatproof surface. Wash and finely chop the parsley or chives, depending on your preference, then stir them into the corn mixture.
